It is time for a Colonoscopy!

Now this isn't something that I would usually post to the whole world. But after my husband announced it on facebook and at church, I have no choice but to give you all an update.

I was having issues. I ignored it for quite awhile, but I had a "well" check-up scheduled, so I told the doctor. I hadn't even mentioned it to Dave until right before I went to the doctor. I forgot to tell him that this was a private matter, and in a blink he put it on facebook! He has only been on facebook for a couple of months. Oh well, such is the life of a pastor's family - life in the fish bowl. I am use to it.

I dreaded the not-eating part. I am a total baby when it comes to that. I do have a hypoglycemic problem, but I lived. I ate a lot of Werthers candies, chicken broth, and the diet Mountain Dew hit the spot yesterday afternoon.

They let me keep most of my clothes on, which made me very happy. The people--Dr. Johnson and his staff--were absolutely great. My nurse got my IV on her first stick! I am a little out of it, so I will let Dave tell you the rest.

[From Dave] Well, I took this video of Teresa so you could see how well she really did. (Everything looked really good. They removed one tiny polyp for biopsy, but it was not suspicious-looking. So we really don't know where all that bleeding was coming from. Oh well!) I think she actually enjoyed going to the doctor--thoroughly enjoyed it, really.
