I was having issues. I ignored it for quite awhile, but I had a "well" check-up scheduled, so I told the doctor. I hadn't even mentioned it to Dave until right before I went to the doctor. I forgot to tell him that this was a private matter, and in a blink he put it on facebook! He has only been on facebook for a couple of months. Oh well, such is the life of a pastor's family - life in the fish bowl. I am use to it.
I dreaded the not-eating part. I am a total baby when it comes to that. I do have a hypoglycemic problem, but I lived. I ate a lot of Werthers candies, chicken broth, and the diet Mountain Dew hit the spot yesterday afternoon.
They let me keep most of my clothes on, which made me very happy. The people--Dr. Johnson and his staff--were absolutely great. My nurse got my IV on her first stick! I am a little out of it, so I will let Dave tell you the rest.

[From Dave] Well, I took this video of Teresa so you could see how well she really did. (Everything looked really good. They removed one tiny polyp for biopsy, but it was not suspicious-looking. So we really don't know where all that bleeding was coming from. Oh well!) I think she actually enjoyed going to the doctor--thoroughly enjoyed it, really. Watch the video clip and see what you think. (Full disclosure: Before I took this video, Teresa was so sweet and complimentary of everything and everyone. Then...this.)
Glad things are good and that you had so much happiness after the operation!!
ReplyDeleteLuke and I actually picked my dad up after his...and he said it was the worst ride he'd ever had because we drove Luke's car...and the shocks were still not the greatest haha...it was a funny car ride though!
Love you!

Pastor Dave! So mean to record your poor wife after that! Poor Teresa! You are such a good sport about everything. That must come from living with a house full of boys for so many years! Glad everything turned out well, miss you!

ReplyDeleteVirtual colonoscopy is a procedure used to look for signs of pre-cancerous growths, called polyps; cancer; and other diseases of the large intestine. Images of the large intestine are taken using computerized tomography (CT) or, less often, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A computer puts the images together to create an animated, three-dimensional view of the inside of the large intestine.
