It
is
snowing
again!
I know you are thinking, "what does that have to do with designing?"
The answer is because it will keep me inside this house today!
I know it feels like a cozy, drink hot chocolate, sit by the fire kind of day, but no sitting for me today! I am going to paint my hallway. Too many joyous celebrations, babies, cooking & cleaning up and traveling to squeeze into the schedule to get it all finished! Actually, money is the main reason, but that is not why I haven't painted. I have had the paint since before Thanksgiving!
Oh, you thought that by now we would be done with the remodel project of our fixer upper house? We still have a ways to go, but I have yet to get money to grow on the money tree I planted. Any suggestions?
Anyway, the plan is to paint the hallway the same color as my family room/great room (a loud 'haha' for the great big part).

this color is Granite Dust from Valspar at Lowes |
On the left side of the hall Dave is going to make me a coat rack that I saw in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
I am so excited about it. Thanks to Sharla and the Tilman's, I now have the railroad ties and wooden plank that we will use. Molly T. has put it in her house too. To see visit:http://theindustrialcottage.blogspot.com/ She is so nice not to mind that my house will have the same thing.
The day is passing away. Time to get started!

ReplyDeleteLooks fun!
Theresa, I have torn out pages of paint colors from Better Homes and Gardens for a year or two now. They have great color combos. After we get a new roof, it's time to work on the interior, again.
ReplyDeleteAre you still living in the Woodstock area?
